ECSSR Signs Agreement of Academic Cooperation with Council of Ministers of Labor and Ministry of Social Affairs
The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) signed an agreement of academic cooperation with the Council of Ministers of Labor and Ministry of Social Affairs in GCC States on July 7. The agreement includes promoting future cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the fields of higher education and research. It also includes organizing regular conferences relevant to strategic issues of the GCC with the aim of serving the goals of integration, cooperation and coordination among GCC countries in all fields.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of ECSSR, and His Excellency Aqeel Ahmad Al-Jassim, Director General of Council of Ministers of Labor and Ministry of Social Affairs in GCC States at the ECSSR premises in Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi stated that the enhancement of mutual relations among various GCC institutions and agencies issues from the UAE’s vision and its relentless efforts to promote collective GCC action in all relevant fields. These efforts are carried out in compliance with the basic principles of the Charter of the GCC, which call for a high level of coordination, integration and interconnectedness among the peoples of GCC countries in all aspects of life. These efforts are also directed at realizing the ambitions and objectives of GCC countries to build a better future and eventually forge the Union of GCC members.
H.E. Dr. Al-Suwaidi has also emphasized the need for convening regular meetings and dialog among all officials and important figures in the GCC. Such meetings would help resolve prospective difficulties affecting GCC projects. Such interaction and conferences will help expedite the implementation of the strategic plans approved and signed by GCC leaders at the GCC annual summits. H.E. Dr. Al-Suwaidi said that the UAE has always been a leading member of the GCC, particularly in implementing agreements made by it.
