Maria Bennani

Dr. Maria Bennani is the deputy director of the “Lalla Salma Foundation – Cancer Prevention and Treatment,” which was founded in 2005 by Princess Lalla Salma, the wife of King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco. This non-profit foundation works with the national health system to implement a national model to improve the care provided to cancer patients.

Dr. Bennani joined the foundation in September 2006. Prior to this position, she spent seven years as a professor in the Software and IT Engineering Department – École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) at Quebec University in Montreal, Canada.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Maria was a professor at École Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique et d'Analyse des Systèmes (ENSIAS) at the Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco.

Maria holds a PhD in Numerical Analysis from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, France.
